More about our team

The Roboherd was founded in 2014 by five students with the mentorship of one of our school’s science teachers, Mr. Carter. Since then, we have gained a new mentor, Mr. Hibbard, and our team has grown to about 12 members each year. Through hard work and continuous improvement, we achieved our first victory at an FRC event during the 2023 season, Charged Up! Now, we have set our sights on reaching the district championship and are honing our skills through design challenges and off-season projects.

For the 2025 season, we are competing in FRC’s Reefscape, a game that challenges teams to design, build, and program a robot capable of navigating an underwater-inspired environment. In Reefscape, alliances of three teams compete to score points by harvesting algae, placing coral on their reef, and attaching to their barge before time runs out. This game rewards creativity, strategy, teamwork, and cooperation with opponents, making it an exciting challenge.

Recently, we gained access to a new space, significantly increasing our capabilities by allowing us to acquire new tools and better manage multiple projects. With dedication and innovation, we continue to push the boundaries of robotics technology, striving to make an even greater impact in the FRC community.
